Pastors and leaders, have you felt out of control over this past year? If we’re honest, many of us have been filled with fear about our churches, our leadership, and the future of pastoral ministry as a whole. In the video below, Jeff Vanderstelt shares how the gospel speaks to the fear that we face in ministry.
God made you to feel fear when you’re out of control. If we are unwilling to feel our fear, we will often go to a place of anxiety as we strive to be in control. However, if we are honest about our fear, we can experience Jesus as the One who brings the help, protection, and shelter we desire.
The gospel is good news for our fear. As we experience this personally, we are able to share the good news with those we serve. Leader, don’t be controlled by fear through denying it; rather go to the One who can help, protect, and shelter you.
