God has been at work in and through all of us this past year. It would take volumes to describe all that He has done. Our team is so encouraged by the way we see God at work in and through His people. Let me share a few stories so we can celebrate together.
First, God is at work in Charleston, SC forming a team and a strategy for gospel saturation there. Check out this video to hear some of the stories.
I’ve also had the privilege to observe and learn from what God is doing in Kansas City through the Kansas City Underground. God is working in and through the many microchurches there to bring about greater gospel saturation of Kansas City.
During my time in Mexico last month, I was blessed to not only see how God is working through Mexican leaders to bring great gospel fluency but also how God is leading them to develop their own training materials in Spanish. I believe this will not only bless the Mexican context but also Spanish-speaking disciples all over the world. Be sure to check out some of their Spanish resources and articles available on our website.
Lastly, I want to share with you what God is doing in our own context here in Seattle. In 1935, local business and faith leaders in Seattle started the Prayer Breakfast that has continued annually since then and has replicated throughout the country all the way to Washington DC. This year, the leaders of the King County Prayer Breakfast have joined up with leaders from Saturate the Sound to decentralize the Prayer Breakfast. Instead of one breakfast with 900 civic and business leaders all in one building in downtown Seattle, we are preparing and training toward thousands of prayer breakfasts in homes, businesses, and churches on April 19, 2022, just two days after Easter. Like at Pentecost described in Acts 2, we are hoping and praying for a movement of the Spirit to sweep our neighborhoods, cities, and region with the power and presence of God! Would you join us in praying for that? And maybe God’s Spirit will lead you to organize something similar in your neighborhood or city!
2021 was a hard but good year! God has done great things. And we are anticipating that He will do even greater work in 2022. I can’t wait to hear the stories!
I hope you can take some time as the year comes to a close to remember, celebrate, and thank God for all He has done in 2021.
