Getting the church to be what it was meant to be—a family on mission—doesn’t happen only through teaching and talking. People already have enough information; they need application.

Coaching provides a rich context for equipping leaders to listen to the Spirit and to guide others to do the same.

Coaching church leaders is first and foremost about empowering leaders to live out the things that the Holy Spirit is calling them to do in obedience to Jesus’s command to make disciples. Having a structure in place to support those leaders in an ongoing way is a key component in taking your leadership development process to the next level.

Discover how Saturate’s onsite coaching training can help you and your church (or ministry!) develop a coaching culture or strengthen an existing one.

Option 1 — Coach Training (1-3 day options available)

Who is this for: Churches who already have a coaching structure but need to help their coaches and group leaders improve their coaching skills to support existing small groups.

What it is: The Coaching Workshop unpacks The COACH Model® for Christian leaders for use in a local church setting. One- and two-day workshops give an introduction to coaching and serve to make participants aware of old mindsets and raise new awareness.  Churches who choose the three-day training will gain the most practice, and therefore, the most learning. Gaining new skills takes time and work!

Why it’s helpful: Churches who want to better equip their small groups to be on mission will have to focus on helping those groups listen to the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised he would not leave his followers on their own, but would send His Spirit (John 14:18-24) who would be the empowering force for mission (Luke 24:49). If you are tired of telling leaders what to do, then this workshop is for you. Equipping your leaders to listen to the Spirit and to guide others to do the same is a key factor in helping them grow up into maturity. They won’t always have you with them, but they will always have the Holy Spirit.

How it works: Based on your needs, choose a one, two, or three-day training. Contact us so we know a little more about your situation. We’ll set a date together, come to your church, facilitate the workshop and provide space for learning and application.

Outcomes:

  1. Coaches who can effectively support group leaders in self-designing actions and strategies
  2. Group leaders will learn to guide group members in processes of self-discovery and Spirit-dependance
  3. Attendees learn to ask before they tell
  4. Everyone will learn to listen better and create a culture where people feel understood
  5. Three day workshop participants have option to purchase an upgrade for International Coaching Federation Credits

Option 2 — Coach Training + Developing a Coaching Culture

Who is this for: Churches who don’t have a coaching structure or trained coaches who want help in creating a culture where small groups are supported with ongoing coaching and development.

What it is: The Coaching Workshop unpacks The COACH Model® for Christian leaders for use in a local church setting. Day one serves to make participants aware of old mindsets and raise new awareness leading to the ability to use coaching skills. Day two unpacks how to develop a culture of coaching through facilitated conversations with key leaders.

Why it’s helpful: Coaching is key to developing leaders. Having a structure in place to support those leaders in an ongoing way is a key component in taking your leadership development process to the next level.

How it works: Contact us so we know a little more about your situation. We’ll set a date together, come to your church, facilitate the workshop and provide space for learning and application. This onsite includes a second day of facilitated conversations leading your church to develop a plan to know how to implement a coaching culture with trained coaches, structures and processes.

Desired outcomes:

  1. Coaches who can effectively support group leaders in self-designing actions and strategies
  2. Churches who know how to prepare groups for coaching sessions
  3. Church leaders who learn how to help their leaders depend on the Spirit by asking questions first, instead of telling.
