Lesson 3: Serving Like Jesus & Sent by the Spirit, Together

OVERVIEW:

Discipleship in community means laying down our lives to serve, and fulfilling our role as God’s witnesses. From Jesus’ first incarnated moment and throughout His life, He was a humble servant for the sake of others, and as God’s Sent One, He proclaimed the good news of a better Kingdom. Jeff continues sharing a story from his own missional community, and how their service to a neighbor became a vital piece of her discipleship and opened doors for the Spirit to speak truth through them.

  • What opportunities does discipleship in community give us to reflect the servant heart of Jesus and to live out being sent by the Spirit?
  • What people is God sending you to, to consider forming into a missional community, to love and serve each other and others like family?
