The Gospel for the World Lesson 3: The Gospel for the World, Part 2 Lesson 3: The Gospel for the World, Part 2

OVERVIEW:

The gospel is the good news of God’s love for us, but if we don’t know how to speak that gospel with love, it undermines the very truth we’re trying to share with others. In this lesson, Jeff asks us to consider the posture we take and the words we use as we share the good news of Jesus with those who don’t believe it.

REFLECT:

  • What is the posture that most often comes to mind when you picture Christians sharing the gospel with those who don’t follow Jesus?
  • Who in your life doesn’t follow Jesus, and what are some ways you could share the gospel with them in a way that is wise, and full of gentleness, respect, grace, and love?
  • Are there aspects of the gospel that you don’t believe, don’t love, or don’t think it “works”? If so, how can you hear “truth in love” in those areas before you start to share the gospel with others?
