In 2003, Jeff and Jayne moved back to Seattle to start a church in Tacoma. They had a vision to start a church where every person is a disciple-making disciple sent as a missionary everyday and everywhere in Tacoma so that Jesus might fill every place. They wanted to see the city saturated with the gospel. Soma Church was birthed. God blessed this work! Over time, many around the country and around the globe traveled to Tacoma to learn from everyday people, not just the pastors. Soma School, a week-long immersive training in Tacoma, was born. As leaders were trained, churches were started, and existing churches transitioned from a Sunday-centric model to an everyday mission, the Soma Family of Churches was started. Presently this family of churches is composed of over 60 church planters, church plants and established churches.
Over time, more and more leaders and churches from North America and around the globe requested training. As the demand grew, it became apparent that a nonprofit training and resourcing platform needed to be established. Saturate was started in 2015 to serve this need. It was at this time that Jeff and Jayne were also called to replant Doxa church out of an already existing church in Bellevue, WA. Jeff has been serving as the Lead Teaching Pastor since January 2015.
Now, with the affirmation of Doxa Church, Jeff and his assistant, Jessica Pohle, are both being freed up to work with the Soma Family of Churches and Saturate to help churches in key cities and regions establish Gospel Saturation Hubs. Jeff will be working with localized leadership in each area to plan, strategize, and implement learning communities made up of local leaders and churches. These learning communities will collaborate in developing discipleship strategies and plans to equip and mobilize every believer on mission where they live, work, learn and play.
Jeff is raising his and Jessica’s salary along with ministry expenses. Jeff and Jayne, along with Jessica and Spencer Pohle, are grateful for your monthly prayer and financial support.
