Leader Health Cohorts
Honest Conversation, Spiritual Practice, & Deep Personal Renewal

Imagine twelve pastors meeting together monthly for a day at a retreat center…
…talking about their stories, families of origin, relationships with God, struggles, and emotions, all in a context of acceptance and confidentiality.
Imagine them being heard and cared for, while also hearing and caring for each other. Imagine them experiencing guided spiritual practices like silence and solitude, and encountering God through nature, then reflecting on them together.
Imagine these leaders deepening their personal health and spiritual vitality; finding friendship and camaraderie; and experiencing personal transformation that would shape their relationships and ministry for years to come.
This is the Leader Health Cohort journey.
God designed human beings for attachment—to Him and to one another. Sin distorts that attachment. Trauma fractures it. Shame hinders it. The ministry of Jesus restores it.

Abe Meysenburg
Abe oversees Saturate’s Leader Health initiatives and Leader Care team. He has spent 25 years serving churches in Illinois, Washington, and Alabama. He planted a church with a few others in 2001, but has invested most of his time as a pastor equipping everyday followers of Jesus to shepherd and care for one another. He has been on the receiving end up of a great deal of shepherding care, both formal and informal. He is passionate about walking with ministry leaders through the unique challenges they face, and about helping people learn how to love one another well. He is the founder of The Shepherding Perspective, which provides shepherding consulting, care, and training to ministry leaders and local churches.
Abe is married to Jenn, and they have four adult children. He loves to read, listen to music, hike, exercise, sit around a fire with friends, ride his bike, eat amazing food, travel, and meet new people.
