For many of us, hearing the word “budget” sends chills down our spine; others are filled with glee at the prospect of organizing yet another thing. But our budgets are more than a dreaded or beloved task. Our budgets display whom we trust and who we believe we are. Our budgets display our plans to be generous and to receive God’s provision through our work and in our finances. They are vision and worship mirrors, reflecting back to us what we worship and how we live. In this exercise, we’ll learn how to create a basic budget with gospel intentionality.
